As part of the EDMO Training Series for researchers, LinkedIn representatives will provide an introduction to LinkedIn’s current data and tools to support independent academic research under the Digital Services Act (DSA). The session will include an overview of the application process for access to LinkedIn data under Article 40 (12) and an overview of available LinkedIn data and tools.
About the series
The EDMO training series aims to support researchers by facilitating a number of sessions with invited speakers from the VLOPs to present currently available resources and datasets for researchers. DSA article 40(12) which explicitly requires platforms to provide access to publicly accessible data, and when technically possible to real-time data. A number of new tools being developed by platforms especially through researcher specific APIs to allow access to researchers to non-personal data and anonymised, aggregated, or manifestly-made public data for research purposes. EDMO aims to support researchers navigate this landscape and equip them to be aware and make use of the current platform offer of data for researchers.

The training series is open to research organisations conducting independent research in the public interest.
