How does disinformation influence the election campaign?
Do fact-checking professionals observe particular trends?
How do young people get information?
And how does the rest of Europe view the election to the German Bundestag?
Two and a half weeks ahead of the 2025 Federal Elections in Germany, the German-Austrian Digital Media Observatory (GADMO) organises an online panel discussion featuring the following Sspeakers:
- Paula Gori, Secretary General and Coordinator of the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO)
- Hatice Kahraman, editor-in-chief of the youth editorial department Salon5 of CORRECTIV
- Katharina Zwins, head of the German-speaking fact-checking team at the international news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP)
- Lea Frühwirth, Senior Researcher at the Center for Monitoring, Analysis and Strategy (CeMAS)
Afterwards, participants can ask questions to the panel.
The event will be moderated by Christina Elmer, Professor of Digital Journalism and Data Journalism at the Institute of Journalism at TU Dortmund University and coordinator of the GADMO network.
Constantly updated information on this topic can be found on the GADMO special page on the federal election (in German) as well as on this dedicated EDMO page (in English).
