EU has built, through a multistakeholder process, a framework of regulation and legislation aiming to put some rules in the digital transition. From the GDPR in 2016 till the AI act and EMFA – European Media Freedom Act still in their implementation phase. This process faced a lot of internal resistance in Europe but is now producing its first fruits. Now it has to sort out from EU boundaries and become a reference or an inspiration for other regions of the world. The recent changes occurred in the USA, proves once more that regulation of the Internet (as well as of A.I.) cannot work only in one region. Many efforts are moving in the same direction from various areas of the globe and would be good to put all those together to create new international standards open that could be adopted by everybody.
