On December 5th, BENEDMO organized a conference at the KU Leuven campus Opera in Antwerp. The topic is Mis(sing) information: over digital inclusion and (gebrek aan) access to fraudulent information.
Are we concerned about the fraudulent information for each participant and the intended use? Does this help reduce the impact of disinformatie? Journalists, onderzoekers, beleidsmakers and mediawijsheid professionals gaan hierover met elkaar in discussions and in the information and practical oplossingen from the drempels to the consultable information publishers.
Let op! Inscription for this event can be made on Wednesday October 22nd.

Keynote panel: Laagdrempelig nieuws
How to inform us about the areas in which the groups are available, young people and others in a digital world? This is the central part of the panel that is over buigt, with speakers of oa het VRT jongerenmerk nws.nws.nws en the NOS Journaal in Makkelijke Taal dat practical oplossingen deelt om nieuws toegankelijk te maken.
Keuzesessie 1: Drempels in the strijd tegen disinformatie
What slaan feiten soms niet aan? This session duikt in sociale factors after het geloven van misinformatie. We analyze the complexity of fact checking, as de fact checkers say, and misunderstand new methods to promote fraudulent information.
Keuzesessie 2: strengthen the digital weerbaarheid bij (otherstalige) laaggeletterden
Within BENEDMO ontwikkelen Mediawijs en VRT toegankelijke tools die eerstelijnszorgverleners helpen om met (anderstalige) laaggeletterden te praten over online veiligheid en disinformatie. In the lab we have the first prototypes, we receive feedback and we understand how to use the digital technology. Also interesting for other journalists, journalists and fact checkers who want to hear what he really means in practice.
