At a time when democracy is confronted with profound challenges, European democracies cannot remain static in the coming decades – they must evolve to meet new realities. The first EU Parliamentary Democracy Forum will gather Members of EU national Parliaments, MEPs, EU institutions, civil society, youth organisations, and experts. The goal is to share solutions to strengthen EU democracies.

EDMO Secretary-General Paula Gori will be the scene-setter of session 3 (Building resilience), exploring tools and policies, aligned with the European Democracy Shield, to protect democracies against hybrid threats, foreign interference, disinformation, cyber threats, and other vulnerabilities, while also examining the role of technology in strengthening democratic processes.
