The Iberian Digital Media Observatory, IBERIFIER, is planning a videoconference season dedicated to the discussion of current polarizing topics in the media.
The cycle started with the “webinar”, Who chooses for you?, which aims to analyze, the role of algorithms in digital platforms and reflect on the recent regulation proposed for the participation of young people in social networks.
The second “webinar” will have as its starting point the question Is misinformation normal? and is scheduled for April 14. The objective of this meeting is to discuss the possible trivialization of misinformation in public space.
The third session will address the narratives of misogyny, of aversion to women, which have been associated with manipulated content, which circulate on online social networks. Did machismo catch the train of misinformation? is the issue that mobilizes the debate, scheduled for May 12.
