In 2026 Bulgaria will produce a series of elections – for now early parliamentary elections and regular presidential elections. The dates are still unknown, but based on experience, from now on we can tell what narratives could appear and this initial list – serves as a step towards their pre-disclosure known as pre-bunking. The narratives described here, which (we could expect) to appear, are already known thanks to previous facts checks and reports made mainly by the European Digital Media Observatory EDMO and its centres across the European Union, as well as other fact-checking organisations). Narratives are in several directions, often intertwine, but here we systematize them thematically.
